News & Research feeds
Read the latest from the sites you care about, right on your new tab. Two widgets share one set of feeds:
- News shows the latest headlines from all your feeds, newest first.
- Research shows the same feeds, filtered by topic keywords you choose.
Both use standard RSS/Atom feeds, the same technology behind podcasts and blogs. You don't need to sign in. Just add a feed link.
Add or remove feeds
- Open Settings → News & Research Feeds.
- Paste a feed URL (or a site's address so BGP can try to find its feed) and click Add. The first time, allow feed access when asked.
- There are suggested popular feeds you can add with one click.
- Remove a feed with the × next to it.
Feeds are shared between the News and Research widgets.
Filter Research by topic
- On the Research widget, click Topics.
- Add keywords (e.g. "AI", "climate", "space").
- Click a topic pill to show only items matching it. Click See All to clear the filter.
You can choose whether a topic needs all its words or any of them in Settings → News & Research Feeds.
Save an article for later
Each headline has two small icons:
- Bookmark (save) saves the link plus a short summary to your Memories so you can find it later (see Memories).
- Sparkles (AI summary) shows a quick AI summary on hover or click. It needs an AI key set up. See Connect AI.
Good to know
- Feeds refresh in the background and are cached, so the widget loads quickly when you open a tab. Use the ↻ refresh button to pull the latest on demand.
- Looking for YouTube channels? Those have their own widget. See YouTube.
