Belief Genome Project

What's new and what was removed (September 2026)

A list of what changed in BGP DNA Mission Control 1.7.0, so nothing surprises you after an update. If you're arriving from the old "Belief Genome" popup extension: your data stays, and your new tab now opens the dashboard.

New

  • Sync across your devices: three tiers in Settings → Data: Local only, Quick sync (one switch, via your browser account) and Full private sync (everything, end-to-end encrypted in your own Google Drive). A sync dot in the top bar shows the state. Details
  • Import from the Mac app: one click brings projects, tasks, notes, bookmarks, dates, countdowns and habits into the extension. Details
  • Starter content on a fresh install, so the dashboard never looks empty. Details
  • Super Task Bar projects now sync, and tasks inside a card can be dragged to reorder.
  • Your Day Ahead items can be dismissed for the day with × and undone.
  • Connect AI in the welcome, with a free Gemini option. The chat widget works with any engine, and you can connect a local server (Ollama or LM Studio) directly.
  • Outlook mail in the Inbox, merged with Gmail.
  • Phone reminders for Important Dates through your calendar.
  • Widgets update live after a sync. Hover the logo to see your version.
  • BGP DNA Anywhere, a second, lightweight extension with a probe strip on the sites you choose and Save to Brain on AI chats. Details

Removed, and what replaces it

  • The companion "helper" app and the connection dot are gone. The extension runs on its own. The dot you see now shows sync status.
  • App Launcher, File Launcher and Shortcuts are gone because browsers can't launch apps or files. Use Bookmarks instead. Your old Shortcut links moved into a "Shortcuts" bookmark group. Launching Mac apps lives in the Mac app.
  • AI Agents, the Agent Library and Grants were removed from the extension. Agents with several steps are a Mac app feature.
  • Save a Claude chat via the Mac app was replaced by Anywhere's Save to Brain.
  • "Sync with desktop now" was replaced by Import from the Mac app and device sync.
  • MusicPax: the player widget and its sign-in are gone from both the extension and the Mac app.
