Get phone reminders for Important Dates
Your Important Dates can show up in the calendar app on your phone, with a reminder, without any extra app. BGP adds them to a calendar you've already connected.
Turn it on
- Connect Google or Microsoft first: Connect Google · Connect Microsoft.
- Open Settings → Widget Defaults → Important Dates → phone reminders.
- Switch on Add my Important Dates to my calendar, pick Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar, and choose the reminder time: 9 AM that day, or 9 AM the day before.
- Click Sync now. Each date becomes a 9:00 AM event with a reminder. New dates you add later are synced too.
Optionally, tick Also show a desktop notification for a reminder on the morning of a date.
Good to know
- Your dates go only to the calendar provider you picked, straight from your browser. BGP has no server.
- Turning it off removes only the events BGP created, nothing else in your calendar.
- This is the only feature that writes to your calendar. It never edits your other events.
- The Mac app does reminders differently: it can email a personal note on the day. See Important Dates with email reminders.
