Save to Brain from AI chats
On Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Perplexity and Gemini, BGP DNA Anywhere can add a small Save to Brain button next to an assistant's reply. One click saves your prompt and the reply into your brain, on your device.
Turn it on
- Open the popup and click Enable on AI sites. Chrome asks permission for the five AI sites together. Approve the ones you use.
- Reload the chat page once. The button appears when you hover an assistant's reply.
Save something
- Have the conversation as usual.
- Hover the reply you want to keep and click Save to Brain. A small "Saved to Brain" toast confirms it. Only that turn is saved. Nothing is captured automatically.
- Save just a passage: select a sentence or two (8+ characters) and a tiny menu offers Save to Brain for that excerpt, or Log as belief, which copies it and opens your full BGP DNA page so you can record it as a probe answer yourself.
What is saved, and where
- The assistant's reply and your preceding prompt, with the site, the chat's link and the time.
- It goes into this extension's own brain, on this device, and travels inside your Export genome file (see Keep one genome).
- Honest limit: there isn't a screen that lists your saved chats yet. They are stored safely and kept in every export. A viewer is planned.
- Nothing is sent to BGP or anyone else. The AI sites don't know it happened.
Good to know
- The button is the only thing the extension adds to a chat page. It doesn't read the page or your other conversations.
- If a site changes its layout, the button may not find the reply for a while. It comes back with the next extension update. Your saved items are unaffected.
